The Ultimate Beauty Elixir – Bichup Self-Generating Anti-Aging Essence by The History of WHOO

This post is the continuous journey with The History of WHOO’s most iconic range, BICHUP which consists of 3 steps products. As I’ve reviewed their first care, Bichup First Care Moisture Anti-Aging Essence, the BICHUP range is famous for its anti-aging benefit and properties. This Bichup 3-Step Range I’ve also regarded them as the Holy Trinity.

This Bichup Self Generating Anti-Aging Essence is the company’s most revered and best seller among all of its products. They claimed that this essence can purify and promotes cellular self-repair. Even from the name of the product, I’m getting a vibe that this will be the ultimate beauty elixir it claimed.

✵✵ Product ✵✵

The product comes in 50ml pump bottle, but annually they launched two limited edition sets that may come with different variation (from my observation), which would be a triple set of 25ml X 3 and another royal court edition that represents the embodiment of an empress and emperor that come in 90ml each bottle. What I’ve gotten mine is their 2019 Edition of both sets which the 2019 Royal Triple Set and 2019 10th Edition of the Queen Edition. I didn’t manage to get the King and Queen Edition as these already burnt my pocket.

Having these on your vanity table is a feast to your eyes as you can’t stop looking at how luxurious they are.

While the Royal Triple Set was inspired by the metal ornament of royal furniture such as butterflies, peonies, and cash-boxes motif. This metal ornament symbolizes good luck, fertility, abundance, longevity, and wealth which signifying the elegance of the royal furniture.

The texture of the essence is very interesting as I’m quite shocked at first because it’s very sticky and rich due to the viscous consistency, an immediate resemblance of Manuka Honey (LOL I don’t know if I’m using the right comparison). But the color of the essence is similar to rose gold and the scent of medicinal herb is noticeable but not overpowering.

In terms of application, you use this after a balancer/toner/lotion. But since I’ve been incorporating Decorté as my emulsion & lotion, this would be at my last stage. To know why Decorté sequence is way off from the regular skincare, you may refer to my posting on Decorté products.

Although it’s tacky to the like of Manuka Honey, upon application it absorbs immediately without leaving any sticky residue.

✵✵ Notable Ingredients ✵✵

Including their most iconic secret formula known as Gongjinbidan that was used across their skincare range. It’s mainly made from Deer Antlers, Angelica Root, Japanese Cornelian Cherries, and Wild Thyme. You may refer to this post for further detail on Gongjinbidan.

✵✵ Result ✵✵

If those that have been following my blog, know that my anti-aging serum would be from Lancôme Advanced Génifique however, it stop working on me and I’ve been on the lookout for a new anti-aging serum/essence. Since then, I’ve been replacing Génifique with this product for almost a month.

Thus from using the product for a month, I can notice some significant improvement. One of them would be reducing wrinkles and fine lines. Before this, after Génifique no longer working for me and even though I’ve been using many products none has a specialty in anti-aging function, not even from Bichup’s first care. Since I’m in my early thirties, I’ve started noticing fine lines over my laughing line and some wrinkles on my forehead. Worrying that this will worsen, I’ve decided to give this serum a try.

It came to my surprise that even in the first 2 weeks of using it I’ve seen the obvious result. My laughing lines have disappeared and at this time of writing, which just about 1 month, my wrinkles on my forehead have reduced remarkably as well. I’m extremely in awe and shocked, I’m hoping that this effect stays forever.

Aside from the wrinkle removing abilities (LOL), I’ve also noticed my skin has brightened up and also helps to reduce acne scarring but it does take a longer time compared to using ONE by KOSÉ (OBK) Melanoshot White Brightening Serum which contains Kojic Acid which lightening of scarring marks has been it forte.

✵✵ Overall Rating ✵✵

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

I think you already can guess that this is getting into my Holy Grail list alongside my Decorté regime. I would highly recommend anyone to try this out if they’re looking for an anti-aging serum that shows the proven result. I don’t see other effects other than skin brightening and anti-wrinkle, maybe it’s as it said, it helps to identify your core problem after that it will activate the right cellular for self-repair targeting at the core of the problem. Thus, I can’t guarantee if you’re getting the exact result as me, as these are the problem I’ve encountered and it helps to repair those root causes.

Aside from the higher side of the price point, I would have given it a full 5 stars. I hope that I’m still able to continue reaping the benefit in the long run.
