I’ve been in the search for a good anti-acne product for God knows how long. I do stumble into a few that did the trick from an inexpensive drugstore, pharmacy-based to counter-based skincare. Those that have been following me, know that I’ve been managing my acne-prone skin by using my Holy Grail product from Decorté.
Sometimes when I’m trying new product or brand that doesn’t suit and eventually cause breakouts, I would require a product that able to deliver almost immediate result within 24hrs. So far I’ve only managed to discover La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) that’s well known to turn around as fast as 1 day to soothe, calm, and reduce acne breakout.
Until recently where I’ve just discovered another great anti-acne product hailing from the Land of the Rising Sun, ATORREGE AD+. Thanks to Try and Review Singapore for sending over these products if not I won’t even bother to try them out as I’ve been seeing this brand in the drug store such as Watson even Don Don Donki, the infamous Japanese chain store.

✵✵ Product ✵✵
They have been so generous and provided 2 full-sized products for the try and review purpose. ATORREGE AD+ cool lotion in 150ml and ATORREGE AD+ acne spot in 10ml.
ATORREGE AD+ cool lotion is a pre-lotion and comes in a form of cool mist lotion with a spray nozzle. It’s recommended to use it before the toner/lotion.
The scent of the lotion is heavily medicated some may found the scent to be unpleasant, I’m quite shocked at first use but I get used to the scent and it no longer bothers me.
The mist upon spraying does penetrate the skin easily and leave your skin a cooling sensation while providing a soothing feeling.
The benefit of using this mist lotion is to relieve inflammation by providing high moisture.
Before After
The second product, ATORREGE AD+ acne spot comes in a glass dropper bottle. It doesn’t have any scent at all and the consistency of the texture is in thick gel form.
It’s a gel essence that contained Antibacterial agents and Anti-inflammatory agents to control inflammation and prevent acne.
There are 2 recommended ways of using these, first as essence and apply on the whole face or second apply only at targeted acne spot. I’ve been using the latter due to the small capacity.
Before After
✵✵ Notable Ingredients ✵✵
Both products contained the following main ingredients;
Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate AKA Licorice Root which famous as a great anti-inflammatory agent. This is extremely well known in K-beauty as well and even use in the like of brands such as Sulwhasoo and The History of Whoo. Hamamelis Virginiana AKA Witch Hazel Leaf Extract and Glycine Soja AKA Soybean Extract are both great in providing good moisture and in skin conditioning.

While the acne spot has another ingredient, Isopropyl Methylphenol which is usually extracted from Thyme is a bactericidal agent which prevents the growth of acne-causing bacteria. It also contained Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract AKA Chamomile flower that is also a great moisturizing agent.
Meanwhile, the cool lotion mist has a great line of moisturizing agents such as Artemisia Capillaris Extract AKA Capillary wormwood, Hinokitiol from Cypress plant, Perilla Ocymoides Extract AKA Beefsteak plant.
✵✵ Result ✵✵
Upon using for almost 2 weeks, one does see the immediate result but not as fast as within 24hrs, you’ll only notice on the second or third days onwards which gradually improved if you keep using and applying.

However the only drawback is it doesn’t help in reducing scarring left by acne, thus you would need other products to take care of this issue.
As for the cool lotion mist, it’s extremely heavy in the herbal scent, upon spraying the whole room will have the scent. So it’s up to personal preference.
While for the acne spot, the capacity is only 10ml. Thus it only lasts for around 2 weeks. For the pricing of $59.00 per 10ml, it’s considered quite pricey if comparing to other acne treatment products.
✵✵ Overall Rating ✵✵
I might consider repurchasing the mist instead as I found that it’s quite soothing and I’m a mist hauler as well. Plus it’s priced quite reasonably at SG$69.00 for 150ml.
As for the acne spot, I will still stick to my all-time favorite La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) which can reduce scarring caused by acne. Nonetheless, this duo does deliver what they have promise.
