Those that have been following me in my IG might saw some of my posts where I’ve been invited to Duty-Free Shopping inside Changi Airport. As Singapore is still not opening its border for leisure travel, travel retail has been heavily impacted thus I believe this is Singapore’s initiative to keep those in the travel retail sector continue their business even without tourists by letting those who reside in Singapore be able to shop duty-free products. This shopping event is strictly by invitation only. Thus I managed to get my hand on some travel retail exclusive products from The Shilla Duty-Free.

✵✵ Product ✵✵
One of the products that I managed to get from a very good deal is L’Occitane’s Immortelle Precious Duo Travel Exclusive box. The retail price for this S$127.00 and I’ve gotten this at 50% off. Great steal.

The box comes with 2 full-size products, Immortelle Precious Eye Balm & Immortelle Precious Cream with Immortelle Reset Oil-In-Serum 5ml in mini deluxe size.
Both items are stored in a glass jar. And formulated with their iconic Immortelle Essential Oil AKA Helichrysum which is well known as a flower that never withers even after it’s harvested hence the name of Immortelle.

Even Essential Oil enthusiast from a well-known brand such as Young Living and doTerra has the similar product lines.
The Immortelle Precious Eye Balm, it’s said that after 28 days of use, it helps in smoothing out fine lines, early wrinkles, skin texture improving the appearance of puffy eyes & dark circles brightens and revitalizing the overall eye area. It’s in gel-cream texture thus it doesn’t feel heavy during application. However, few occasion there’s a prickly sensation during application but soon fades off. So I’m not sure if it’s suitable for those with sensitive skin.
Before After
The Immortelle Precious Cream, it’s said that after 10 days it helps power up your skin’s natural ability to renew itself & fight the effects of daily aggressors, for more youthful-looking skin. The texture is quite rich as it’s cream-based. There is a heavy scent as compared to the Eye Balm. The scent in this cream is the same as their Immortelle Precious Essential Water which I’ve ever used as a mist, I did a post on this as well. So I believe it’s their scent for this Immortelle Precious range.
Before After
✵✵ Notable Ingredients ✵✵
Corsican Immortelle essential oil AKA Helichrysum is known for its ability to help fight visible signs of aging as it contains a high concentration of active antioxidants.
Dynamic Hyaluronic Acid, a unique, low-molecular-weight Hyaluronic Acid bonded to an essential mineral, and 2X more antioxidant. bonded to an essential mineral to plump up and hydrate the skin with benefits on skin renewal.

✵✵ Result ✵✵
The Immortelle Precious Eye Balm, once open the product could only last for 3 months based on the instruction, however, I’m able to use it up within 3 months. However, on and off there would be discomfort due to the prickly effect upon application. Even after 28 days or even after finished up the whole jar, I didn’t see any effect from the claims so it’s quite disappointing.
The Immortelle Precious Cream could only last for 6 months once open, I’m already at the 4th month but I still have more than half the jar, it may be because I didn’t use it during the day as it’s very rich. Occasionally it might break me out but it does make your skin plumped-up with moisture the next day. Other than that I don’t see any other benefit.
✵✵ Overall Rating ✵✵
Overall, it’s still considered an inexpensive skincare brand thus it may be effective for some but not for me. Even their best seller Immortelle Reset Oil-In-Serum, cause an extreme breakout to me. Thus I don’t have high hope even for their Immortelle Precious range.
However, I’m still in love with their Almond Shower Oil, my all-time favorite from L’Occitane. The only item that I’ve been continuing using from them. Other than that I don’t think their skincare range suits me so I’m quite skeptical with the hype from the Malaysia and Singapore community claiming how good their skincare as I have friends who also said that their skincare doesn’t work well with them.
