Cosme Decorté’s Basic Line?

I’ve started using skincare when I’ve just reached adolescence and being influenced by my mum. Mainly, I’ve tried using products ranges from mid-range (Clinique, Laneige, Kose) to low-end products found on any drug stores. Only recently about half years ago, I’ve open my self up trying for high-end skincare.

Everything started off when there’s a new departmental store opening up at my neighborhood and they’re up-scaling the local retail scene offering more high-end brands. The counter “DECORTÉ ” draws my attention and from that day onward I’ve started using their product until today.

It feels like I’ve finally discovered a product that really resonates with my skin conditions and the weather in my country. You may think I’m boasting if I tell you that I felt and saw the result immediately just by using sample sachets provided. AND YES, with just that and without any hesitation, I’ve invested in my first ever high-end skincare regime.

Available in 150ML and limited edition 300ML

At this particular post, I will be talking about their Prime Latté (emulsion milk) and Vita de Rêve (lotion), both formulated with botanical oils and extracts that hydrate your skin without leaving a tacky residue. And at this time of writing, I’ve just used up 2 bottles of the emulsion and 1 bottle of the said lotion.

It’s said that this series is extremely beneficial for those having acne breakout as the Prime Latté formulation is packed essential fatty acids from Avocado oils that help produce the skin’s natural oil barrier, critical in keeping skin hydrated, plumper, and younger-looking. It also contains oils of olive, lavender, sage, and rose hip (including avocados) that are all well-known emollients that soften skin and promote skin regeneration.

The texture is milky but not heavy as it melts into watery texture immediately upon application. Smell refreshing with a tint of botanical fragrance. This is used on cleaned face or after pre-serum/first essence. The application must be accompanied with a cotton pad, I’ll usually use 2 pumps and smooth over the whole face without the needs to avoid the eyes area as you may go over your eyes with any of Decorté product.

Next is their lotion, Vita de Rêve which also packed with botanical extracts include sage extract, perilla leaf extract, wild thyme extract, and rosemary water. These ingredients are essentially moisturizing agents that have nourishing properties that are anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial.

The texture is watery and some may find it smell a lil’ bit medicated but it’s not overpowering. It also comes in a glass bottle. The application can be used on a cotton pad as well but I usually dap 5 times onto my palm and press it directly to my face. It also absorbs easily and leaves dewy and refreshing looks.

Occasionally, I will double up this lotion as a mask, I’ve been using Muji compressed mask by filling a container with the Vita de Rêve and place a mask inside to soak up the product, you may leave it for a good five to 10 minutes and this will leave your skin glowing.

So what I’ve achieved and benefited from using this duo, is more hydrated skin. As hydrated skin is not forced to produce excessive oil that may clog pores and lead to bacteria growth and infestation thus leading to a breakout, which can also be calmed from the anti-bacterial agent found in the ingredients.

The emollient also softens the skin immediately. I also think that it helps in alleviating and calm the razor burn after each shaving.

The other thing that I’ve noticed is that the next morning my skin was not oily at all, there might be a little bit of oil at my nose area (not the whole T-zone) but NEVER in my life I’ve felt my skin is smooth, not oily and refresh. From that day, I’m extremely amazed by Cosme Decorté products and started to explore more of their product.
